Our Chief Scientific Officer, Dr. Kashinath (Kashi) Sadalapure, was featured in Business in Vancouver's coverage of the official opening of the adMare M4 Innovation Centre on April 17, 2026.
The new 30,000-square-foot facility in Vancouver's Mount Pleasant neighbourhood offers move-in-ready lab space for early-stage and growing life sciences companies. It was opened with a ribbon-cutting by adMare BioInnovations leadership and B.C. Minister of Jobs and Economic Growth Ravi Kahlon.

Speaking with BIV, Dr. Sadalapure said the industry needs to create more platforms where scientists can connect and collaborate, and noted that health research funding has receded on both sides of the border since the COVID-era boom.
"When anybody works in a challenging area like this, there's always a need for funds to support the research activities."
He pointed to new emerging diseases, and to the many genetic diseases that people live with that still have no cure. "We need to restart the momentum" lost over the past 12 to 24 months, he said. "There has been some disconnection due to lack of funding."
The article describes Pharma Inventor as a small-molecule drug discovery company working from adMare's facility at the University of British Columbia, with 14 years in business and a team of 20 scientists working on solutions for rare diseases, early-stage cancer detection and late-stage tumours.
Thank you to Business in Vancouver and reporter Jami Makan for the coverage, and congratulations to adMare BioInnovations on opening the M4 Innovation Centre.
